I’ve got some catching up to do with this “challenge”, so here goes....
Favourite Disney hero = Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid
You see, Prince Eric was always under a lot of pressure to settle down with a nice princess, but was never satisfied. He wasn’t really interested in looks and wealth; he just wanted to meet the one girl that he was meant to be with. Fussy bugger....
Eric’s first encounter with Ariel happens after a storm at sea, where he goes back to rescue his dog, Max (awwwww!). Prince Eric ends up unconscious but is soon rescued by Ariel who starts to sing to him, but then who does a runner as he comes around. But alas, it’s too late - Eric decides that she - the girl who has rescued him - is the girl who he is meant to be with.
Of course, things start to go pear-shaped due to the Ursula's interference, and it is she that Eric almost marries. Soap opera much? But at the last minute he luckily realises that it is in fact Ariel that he needs to be with, and in his final confrontation with the big ol' sea witch, he proves his love by battling Ursula and ramming a sunken ship into her stomach, finishing her off once and for all. Standard.
What a great guy!
