- Parents sue Disney over nacho cheese burns (Full article)
Parent’s of a four year old boy are suing Disney after claiming that their son suffered “severe burns” after hot nacho cheese was allegedly spilt on his face during a dinner at Walt Disney World. The case implies that Disney served the cheese "negligently and carelessly" and made "no effort" to regulate its temperature. The parents have claimed for medical and legal costs and “further relief as this court deems proper” i.e. for the “permanent scarring, pain and suffering," and "emotional distress”.
I’m feeling all sceptical about this – something just doesn’t seem right... I’d be curious to know if the parents took their child to see a medic at Disney immediately after the incident; they keep such detailed records there and this would've definitely been documented.
In the mean time....back away from the cheese!

Bill Justice dies, aged 97
Disney animating legend, Bill Justice, died age 97 last Thursday. Disney fans will easily recognise Justice’s work, ranging from Thumper in Bambi, to Chip and Dale. Throughout his time spent at Disney, Justice worked in lots of different roles, and went on to direct the opening of the original Mickey Mouse Club. He also became an Imagineer, and contributed to attractions such as Country Bear Jamboree and Pirates of the Caribbean. Justice’s career is documented in his memoir entitled “Justice For Disney”.
Disney on the maternity wards
A bit of a random one here....Disney has undertaken a new venture into the arena of newborn baby clothing with its creation of the “Disney Cuddly Bodysuit”. The company is taking its pitch directly into the maternity wards after partnering with a newborn portrait company which has provided access to over 600 hospitals throughout the US. The new bodysuits will be made of “100% huggable cotton”. All I want to know is....will they be available in adult sizes?!
Introducing John Lassetire....
Meet John Lassetire – sounds pretty similar to John Lasseter (Pixar’s chief creative officer) doesn’t it?! And that’s kinda the point; not only will Lasseter by directing Disney Pixar’s Cars 2, he’ll also be making a cameo appearance! This cameo and character was a gesture of thanks to Lasseter for all is hard work in making Disney-Pixar the success it is today.

Disabled man sues over “It’s A Small World” (Full Article)
Another suing story here (groan)! A disabled man is suing Disney after being “stranded” on the “Small World” ride for more than 40 minutes during an evacuation. He is suing for negligence, emotional distress and liability claiming that when the ride unexpectedly broke down, Disney cast members evacuated other guests but left him and his wife behind. The lawsuit also claims that Disney has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by not having proper procedures to evacuate disable passengers.
What bugs me though, is that this all happened in 2009, and only now this guest filing a lawsuit?! Also, what more could the guest have suffered apart from a bit on inconvenience?!
And we wonder why holidaying at Disney is getting so expensive...
And finally...
Trailer released for Disney’s new film “Prom”
Is this film gonna be the one that Disney uses to replace its High School Musical franchise? Somehow, I don't think so....
The film’s synopsis: A group of teenagers find their lives intersecting and their futures taking shape as they prepare for the most pivotal event of their high school careers. At first Nova Prescott is infuriated at a classmate who nearly destroys her plans for prom. But the closer the big day gets, the more she realizes that he may be the perfect date. Meanwhile, secretive seniors Tyler and Mei wrestle with the consciences over how to make the most of their big night as the rest of their classmates attempt to reconcile their explosive anticipation with their growing uncertainty over how the dance will ultimately pan out.
